ROUND TABLE AND CONCERT: MIXING SEA, ART AND NATURE

WHEN: 12/11 - 7pm

WHERE: Mr Moch Beer, VIGO

Rúa dos Irmandiños, 15, 36201 Vigo

With the sculpture literally the centre of attention, the evening’s conversation will revolve around the past and the Prestige oil spill, and the present, through Galician artists Interpretation of the relationship between Homo sapiens and the environment, the sea, and how, through art, one can imagine and create a better future.

Nature holds a much higher value than all the material goods and services that we are acclimatised to in today’s world. Nature is a source of historical and social meanings, values, feelings, ideas and associations that inspire people. The ocean especially has always been a place of inspiration and fascination, where fears, myths and monsters also dwell.  The round table will be followed by a concert of the Galician band, "Blues do Pais".
